The Tiguan R’s factory inlet forces the airflow to pass through the restrictive plastic ‘bellows’ pipe, before tapering right down to run through a tight and restrictive plastic turbo inlet – in other words, pretty poor for airflow. 

To achieve the very best airflow to release maximum power gains, this Tiguan R Turbo Inlet System comes as a two-piece package, comprising a larger diameter, thin-walled Turbo 90 Inlet paired with a reinforced Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose.

It’s only by combining both elements of this kit that RacingLine has been able to increase the diameter so significantly (+10mm) to release the worthwhile airflow gains. 

The ultra-thin wall Turbo 90 Inlet features an internal velocity stack to maximise airflow capability through to the turbo’s inlet. The smoothed internal diameter of this Turbo 90 Inlet is massively increased from 74mm on the factory part right up to 84mm on the RacingLine version. The inlet is hand-polished then anodised in gloss black to look good, and stay looking good.

Meanwhile the Inlet Hose is constructed from reinforced high quality silicone which prevents deformation under load or heat. RacingLine has carefully developed this hose to be flexible enough to allow just the right amount of engine movement under load yet retain its strength under the most demanding conditions. The hose features internally-stepped mouldings to ensure smooth, uninterrupted airlfow transitions.

Fitting is straightforward. The system is installed in around 30 minutes using just hand tools.   And easily returned to standard, should you ever wish. 

The Tiguan R Turbo Inlet System is compatible with the best-selling RacingLine R600 intake, the factory airbox, or any other aftermarket intake.
